July 2025 – Lyten, a US-based advanced materials and battery technology company, has announced the acquisition of Europe’s largest battery energy storage systems (BESS) manufacturing facility from Northvolt. The strategic move is set to significantly scale Lyten’s manufacturing capacity and extend its global footprint in the rapidly growing energy storage sector.

The facility, located in Gdańsk, Poland, spans over 50,000 square meters and was originally developed by Northvolt to produce state-of-the-art BESS products for grid and commercial-scale applications. With this acquisition, Lyten aims to integrate its proprietary 3D Graphene-based lithium-sulfur battery technology into high-volume production, catering to increasing demand across Europe, Asia, and beyond.
